Have a Laugh!

Toaster with pieces of bread

I know it's a little hokey, but this made me giggle this morning. It's a quote that's attributed to "Garfield" creator Jim Davis:

"If people were meant to pop out of bed, we'd all sleep in toasters."

So if you're not feeling your usual chipper, embrace-the-day self this morning, fear not! But if you can crack a smile, you know you're back on track.

** funny how this quote was said. actually, we are the ones who makes our lives so miserable by dwelling on the negative side of the coin. Why not try to be a positive type of person and live life without dragging around the negatives of the environment?! Live life at its fullest, laugh to our hearts content and love people that loves us well.. And see... things will be totally different!

old high school photo

>> Friday, September 11, 2009

A friend posted this picture in his Facebook account. After he posted it, comments from some friends are being posted. Some called it as skinny days pictures, but I don't consider it as my skinny days as you can see I am far from being skinny even before. This picture was taken during our senior year. It reminds me of good old days, good old high school friends. I hope someday we could have another picture taken so we could compare it with this one. But I am unsure if it would still be possible.

Pau's Random Thoughts

>> Wednesday, May 27, 2009

As I was making this post there are a lot of things that race inside my head. Would Ate Del and I meet the deadline on Monday to think that we only have two days left to finish the reports that normally takes us a couple of weeks to complete. What the hell is the reason behind the decision of absorbing the guard? First time in the company’s history that a guard under agency is absorbed by the company just to prevent a guard from resigning! What if Ate Del and I would boycott the reports? Would I survive the floods and hurricanes there? I wonder where I could get links of the talk of the town Hayden-Katrina brouhaha! Am I really prepared for this? Am I ready to leave my family and my friends? Am I sure that this would help me to move on? I wonder if Kathy is ok now! What would be the nice color for the luggage? Too many thoughts, too many to think about.

Free Will

>> Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Every morning I used to watch a local morning show. There is segment there that discusses the daily horoscope for each Zodiac Signs. It is done by a very good astrologer. She would always say that horoscopes are just guide, and we are given free will and we should be using it. Free will is a very powerful word. It is defined philosophically according to a website as an ability or capacity to choose a course of action from among various alternatives. And in relation to this, a person is responsible for the effect of the course of action that he or she has chosen.

As a person we are all given the gift of free will. We have the freedom to choose but we also have the responsibility to what ever result our choices would breed. In this life we would make too many hard decisions. We would choose from a wide ray of options that would affect our lives. Picking the right decision could be very tricky. But we have family, we have friends, we have experiences that would help us and teach us or provides us with a clear view. But at the end of the day, the decision would still come from you and there is no one accountable for the decision that you’ve made except for you.

If you are doing this every day, don’t you wish you have the best life insurance this world can offer? You might be getting the high from this kind of job but I don’t know if you’ll appreciate it once you fall. Life is full of uncertainties. You can have your biggest laugh now then cry out later. That is why having insurance is a must. We are all unsure what the future might be, so we have to secure our future not just for us, but also for our families and loved ones. If we are to look at the current scenario today, who would ever think that the global financial crisis would affect the global economy massively and extensively? I know those who lost their jobs are thinking, what if they got income protection quote

How to stay young

>> Sunday, March 1, 2009

My ever beautiful Tita Eve send me this via email and I end up laughing to death.

1. Throw out nonessential numbers.
This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them."

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning.
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh
often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. ( I always do this!)

6. The tears happen.
Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health
If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips.
Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

LET US ALL ENJOY LIFE AND STAY YOUNG!

What a woman SHOULD ...

>> Friday, February 20, 2009

I got this yesterday from an email.

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...

enough money within her control to move out,
rent a place of her own,
even if she never wants to or needs to...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
something perfect to wear whether the employer,
or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to
re-telling it in her old age....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
one friend who always makes her laugh...and one who lets her cry...
(I'm lucky to have a lot )

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems,
and a recipe for a meal,
that will make her guests feel honored...

A WOMEN SHOULD HAVE...
a feeling of control over her destiny....

...and

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to fall in love without losing herself...
(haven't learned this one yet I hope I would now...)

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to quit a job,
break up with a lover,
and confront a friend without;
ruining the friendship...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
when to try harder...and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that she can't change the length of her calves,
the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that her childhood may not have been perfect...but its over...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to live alone...even if she doesn't like it...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW..
whom she can trust, whom she can't,
and why she shouldn't take it personally...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
where to go..
be it to her best friend's kitchen table...
or a charming inn in the woods...
when her soul needs soothing...
(For me what drink to have hahaha!)

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.. .
what she can and can't accomplish in a day...
a month...and a year...

It really takes too much to become an absolute woman. I'm quite sure that I still have to learn some of these.

Thoughts for Valentines

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

It is Valentines Day! I hope I have a love story to share with you. But sad to say I have been celebrating Valentines Day alone for the past years of my life. I'll just share you some thoughts.

Have you ever been in love? The answers most probably would be yes. Finding love can bring us joy and happiness beyond compare but it may bring misery and unbearable pain for those who lose it. Some are hasty while others are careful in getting into relationships but I think no matter how many precautions we may have it does not guarantee that love would stay once we find it. Most of us may have loved but lost it but remember that I would always be better to have found courage to love even if we lost it in the end rather than never finding love because we were too afraid to face its challenges. Thanks to Joe d’ Mango!

Love is inevitable, no matter how much we avoid it love would always finds it way.

Let the pain remain

>> Saturday, February 7, 2009

I'm sky watching last night while sipping a cup of cappuccino when I heard this song.It got me thinking.

Love comes, love goes,
But a sudden feeling never lets me be
Somehow I know
Quite a part of me isn't changed
Since you've been gone

Like a sturdy tree
That's seen a thousand seasons,
I've to shed my leaves in winter
To grow them back in spring
To welcome life again
To welcome you

So goes my life;
Still believe in dreams of having you around
Too bad mem'ries
Feed the mind and not the heart
Where I want you to be

So I ask myself what you have left behind for me
To go on each day to live
As if I have you once again
What else is there that's real
But all the pain that I feel

Chorus:
So let the pain remain forever in my heart
For ev'ry throb it brings
Is one more moment spent with you
I let the pain
Bring on the rain
If that's the only way
If there's no other way
To be with you again

Too bad mem'ries
Feed the mind and not the heart
Where I want you to be

So I ask myself what you have left behind for me
To go on each day to live
As if I have you once again
What else is there that's real
But all the pain that I feel

Chorus:
So let the pain remain forever in my heart
For ev'ry throb it brings
Is one more moment spent with you
I let the pain
Bring on the rain
If that's the only way
If there's no other way
To be with you again

So let the pain remain forever in my heart
For ev'ry throb it brings
Is one more moment spent with you
I let the pain
Bring on the rain
If that's the only way
(If that's the only way)
If there's no other way
To be with you again

Why does sometimes we cling on to somebody that only gives us pain beyond compare? Why not just leave that person and never look back? Why does sometimes we still long for someone who just hurt us over and over again? Naku sumakit lang ang ulo ko! Kakaloka talaga ang love! Nice thing I removed it from my list! hahaha!
