I want Jollibee Ate

>> Saturday, February 28, 2009

The little rascal Brent is asking me for a Jollibee Doll yesterday morning. He already got the one in the original costume, now he wants the one in a Barong Tagalog. He told me to get him that as his birthday gift. I told him its too early for his birthday but as usual he keeps on insisting that I should get him one. He would not let go of me until I say yes. Smart kid he is, he knows I would be late for work if I still don't give him my answer. I finally give in, the spoiler in me promised the little boy to buy him a Jollibee doll, too bad I have to buy his younger brother too or else Jollibee would be cut into two. Hmm I am a spoiler, and that kid really know how to release the spoiler in me by giving me kisses before going to work.

I cooked! Its a miracle!

As I have said, I don't normally cook. It would take a lot for me to cook. Cook in a sense that I make dishes, on a normal basis I just fry egg, hotdog, luncheon meat, and anything that can be fried. But I was bitten by the cooking bug last time, and I decided to make a dish. I cooked sizzling squid. I saw the recipe online, and I just tried if its good. According to my Granny, its good, very good. I would share the recipe and hope you could try this one.

Ingredients:
-1 kilo squid, the big ones sliced into rings
-ginger
-garlic
-salt and pepper to taste
-oyster sauce, maybe 1/3 cup
-brown sugar, maybe 2 tablespoon
-pepper sliced (the green one, used in sinigang)
-butter

You pour the oyster sauce into the squid, then seasoned it with salt pepper and sugar. Sautee ginger, then garlic then the squid, put a little water. Let it cook for about 5-8 minutes or until the squid is tender. Then remove from the pan, set aside the syrup. Melt butter on the pan, put the squid and the chili, seer it then pour the sauce then remove from the heat. Its done.

Hope you'll like it too.

Mexican Get-away

At the peak of my busiest days, I dreamed of lying in a beach bed having margarita along the coast line of Riviera Maya in Mexico. Feeling the warmth of the Mexican sun along the palm trees lined beaches before taking a dive at their multi colored coral reefs. How I wish I could be there in an instant. I was fascinated by the beaches of Mexico because I became a fan of famous Mexican Television Novelas during my younger days. I fell in love in their beaches while watching a wedding scene (I’m sorry I forgot the title). Karisma Resorts and Hotels have the collection of the white sand beaches of Riveira Maya. It offers the all inclusive mexico luxury among its beaches and hotels. Beaches are not the only thing that attracts visitors and tourist in the Maya Riviera. The gourmet food is also one of the reasons why you would wish to be there. They would provide for your cravings and indulgence but also they could prepare dishes based on your diet. Truly they give number one priority to the needs of their guests. Now I should go back to work to make my dream a reality.

For Beauty and it's industry

I guess every person is vain. It just depends on the intensity of one’s vanity. Before, vanity is very much associated with women only. But now even men are very much conscious in their looks and to some they are becoming vainer than women. No wonder demands for parlors, spas and other beauty related services are high. No wonder hair stylist jobs are becoming in demand. To become competitive, salon and spa owners are now selecting their staff and workers very particularly. A site called beautyjobs.com helps the owners of salons, spas and other related establishments to connect to hundreds of jobseekers who are highly qualified and experienced. It would also help the jobseekers to connect with future employers by having their resume posted online where future employers could have them analyzed. It would open greater opportunities for them as it also benefits the employers to find competitive and well-trained staffs. It would both save time and cost to the employer and jobseeker.

I'm back

I have been very busy this week. I was not aware of it until I looked at my last post. It was dated February 24. I wasn't able to visit my friends' page (I'm sorry for the late tags). My karma went down (I miss plurking with my buddy jay!). I really miss my online social life.

The field work for the audit is still on going but will soon end this Tuesday. The schedules are all done, except for some. Our mother company in Japan is asking for some documents and reports which we have to provide in an instant, as if I graduated from Hogwarts School and could do magic (what a pressure Mr. Makino! pressure!). Got to shop for kuya's list of things that I would send to him. Attended the supplier's meeting last Friday. Attend to friends' needs and listen to their sentiments (hahaha!).

I thought being single means you have time for everything and for everyone, I was wrong :)

Chat Site for Seniors

>> Tuesday, February 24, 2009

I was watching a magazine show last time. It features an eighty year old lady and a seventy plus year old grandfather who still studied basic computer education despite their age. I was even surprised that the lady has a facebook account where she tracks her long lost friends and relatives. I just created my facebook account this week, because I was curious that she still enjoys it in spite of her age. I really admire her perseverance to adapt with the new technology. I think she would enjoy Seniorcitychat.com! It is a Free Senior Chat site where in senior users around the world meet and exchange chats. It offers free membership upon sign up at their site. It is guaranteed that senior users would enjoy communication with different persons around the world. It is a way where they can meet new friends without leaving the premises of their home. Since they are seniors their time and energy to go out would be limited and their chance of meeting new friends would also be lessen. But with the help of Seniorcitychat.com, they would be able to build new friendships and even relationship with people of their same age bracket. With the help of computer and their webcam, they could explore the site and look for persons in which they share the same interests. They said that growing old is lonely but with the help of sites like this, growing old could be fun.

Franchising for my retirement

I told myself that when I retire I want to have a business franchise. Maybe I’ll be getting a franchise for a coffee shop or a fast food chain. I will be old then so franchising is very much suitable for me because franchised business can be run with minimal supervision from the owner not like an own established business.

Having that in mind, I passed by a site that offers consultations for franchising. Myfranchisepath.com has a nationwide network of consultants that are very much experienced in the franchise business. With all their expertise in their belts, they would assist you in finding the best franchises for you. Entering a business is not that easy, one should consider many things. With the help of experts one can assure that the business franchise that he would enter is very much suitable for him. Most of the consultants that they have are franchisees themselves that’s why you are very sure that you are getting on hand experiences from the actual franchisees. The studies that they conduct are being made to achieve the goal of finding the best franchise for you, the franchise that fits your personality, profile and interest. They would extend their help the potential franchisee until he has selected the franchise that he thinks would suit him well. The consultation doesn’t stop upon selecting and dealing with the franchise broker. It is extended up to the signing of franchise agreement and payment of franchise fee.

The money that we would be investing in a franchise is not easy money. We have worked so hard for it so we must be sure that we are putting it in a good investment like franchising. Myfranchisepath.com would make sure that the money we earned would really be put in a good investment. Now I can be sure of my retirement years, all I have to do is to work now and save for it.

Boys over flowers

>> Monday, February 23, 2009

Crizzy and Maya (my officemates) are currently going nuts over a Korean Drama Series entitled "Boys over Flowers". According to them this series is the Korean adaptation of the Manga series Hanayori Dango from Japan. It was the same Manga series where the famous Taiwanese Drama Meteor Garden was also adapted. Every lunch break I could hear them talking about Geum Jan Di and Goo Joon Pyo,I can't even pronounce their names! All I could hear is Boys over flowers, boys over flowers!!!! My eardrum is already irritated :) One time I heard Crizzy laughing alone, only to see that she was watching the series in her earphones. Like while I'm doing this post all that Ate Dhel and I could hear is Boys over flowers, boys over flowers, boys over flowers in their super "Kilig" mode! Hmm...

Wrist Watches

>> Saturday, February 21, 2009

I seldom wear a watch but I adore them so much. I wear them only on special occasions because I am afraid that my watch would depreciate early. I often surf the net on new watches and watches on sale. I came across this Wrist Watches from thewatchery.com. Thewatchery.com sells brand name luxury watches at discounted price. They also got designer watches at a price you never thought you could get. This Blue Speedmaster from Omega really captures my attention. First because it bears my favorite color which is blue, I’m sure it would complement my office attire very well. The leather strap gives that not so formal look yet very classy and elegant. The case is made of stainless steel so it is very much durable. It got luminous dial so even in the dark I could keep track of the time, my eyes are not functional in the dark so it would benefit me well. Being water resistant up to 100 meters is also one of the factors why I love it. As we know water is the greatest enemy of watches. I am very much clumsy and forgetful, I might slip my self in the office fountain while wearing this or I might forget removing it while washing my coffee mug at the pantry. I must not forget that this watch is set with diamonds. Diamonds are girl’s best friend aren’t they? Maybe that is why it really captures my attention. The diamonds around the wrist watch’s face really prompted me to call 1-866-843-9282 the number where I could reach thewatchery.com. I forgot to look at the price tag of this beautiful watch. It cost nearly $5000! I put down the phone very much disappointed and told to myself that I must first work over and double time so I could finally get hold of that watch. Or maybe I can be very lucky to win the lottery draw.

Love Doctor Pau

I got the role of being a love counselor last night. A very special girlfriend was having a hard time with her boyfriend of one year. I saw her crying at the pantry while talking to May. I knew right there in there that there was a problem but I never thought it would be a heart problem.

She was very hesitant at first to tell me what it is all about. She knew that I never approved of that guy before and until now she knew that I still have reservations for his boyfriend. Maybe she was afraid that I may give biased opinions. But then later she started to tell me and May about it.

I listened to her sentiments, I let her talk and burst out all her hidden emotions. That’s all I could do, listen because I’m not sure if I could give her the right advice that she needs. I’m not confident that I could help her in a way that I should. I understand her sentiments and I think she’s not demanding like what her insensitive boyfriend says. Forgive my words but insensitive is the right words to describe her boyfriend.

I just opt to tell her to talk with her boyfriend heart to heart. I told her that relationships really pass through that phase, even friendship. Sometimes familiarity could breed insensitivity and later on neglect because we became too confident that he or she would just always be there. I told her that it’s about time to renew their commitment to each other, re-orient their selves on what to expect onto each other as girlfriend and boyfriend and what to give in return. Entering into relationship needs constant care and nourishment.

Don’t expect love to be the same as when you first got hold of it, it doesn’t remain constant if you would not take good care of it. If we take it for granted it may find someone that would nourish it and never let it go.

I brought her home after that, I hope I shed some light on her. I hope she and her boyfriend would be okay. I hope I would never see her cry again. Love is really complicated. I really got too much overwhelmed by my role that I forgot I also need one. I was too much busy telling her to get rid of her tears and I forgot that mine are falling too.

What a woman SHOULD ...

I got this yesterday from an email.

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...

enough money within her control to move out,
rent a place of her own,
even if she never wants to or needs to...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
something perfect to wear whether the employer,
or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to
re-telling it in her old age....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
one friend who always makes her laugh...and one who lets her cry...
(I'm lucky to have a lot )

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems,
and a recipe for a meal,
that will make her guests feel honored...

A WOMEN SHOULD HAVE...
a feeling of control over her destiny....

...and

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to fall in love without losing herself...
(haven't learned this one yet I hope I would now...)

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to quit a job,
break up with a lover,
and confront a friend without;
ruining the friendship...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
when to try harder...and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that she can't change the length of her calves,
the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that her childhood may not have been perfect...but its over...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to live alone...even if she doesn't like it...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW..
whom she can trust, whom she can't,
and why she shouldn't take it personally...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
where to go..
be it to her best friend's kitchen table...
or a charming inn in the woods...
when her soul needs soothing...
(For me what drink to have hahaha!)

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.. .
what she can and can't accomplish in a day...
a month...and a year...

It really takes too much to become an absolute woman. I'm quite sure that I still have to learn some of these.

What a day

Boss is pressuring us all here in the accounting department. Yes we know that the financial audit would start on Monday, and the schedules should be finished by now. But there should be a distinction between realistic and unrealistic deadlines. Most of the schedules are finished there are just some that we are still balancing, and pressuring us would definitely not help. One thing that add up to my flare is the news that reached me. I should have not listened. It just ruined my day. I have to lock up my self in the comfort room just to calm my self and release my emotions. Good thing that they did not noticed my eyes, thanks to my new eyeglasses. Just a call from Tita Mayeth made my day. We talked for about an hour (boss is not around she is having her lunch). She asking me if I knew some hairdressers Sydney Australia have. She might be visiting there for a wedding and she need to look one to fix her for the wedding. And the conversation has just been extended :)

Beware of Sexual Offenders

>> Thursday, February 19, 2009

Safety of our love ones is always on the top of our priorities. Everyone is always thinking for the safety of one’s family twenty four hours a day. Most of my office mates are working moms. I would always hear them worrying about the safety of their children especially their daughters since they are not with them all the time. Sex offenders are those that scare them most. Good thing that there is tracksexoffenders.net. It is the site that could help parents like them or anyone to track sex offenders. The site gives information about sex offenders near their area.they got Sex Offender Lookup where we could use to see offenders near the area. They could see the information about the identity of sexual offenders like the full name, photo, previous and present address and detailed predator reports relating to them. With knowledge of the identity of sexual offenders we can inform our loved ones to keep distance from that person and be cautious in talking to strangers. As we all know, sexual offenders’ looks and manners can deceive people so being informed about their true identity could help us and also our loved ones not to be deceived by them. We should be thankful that with just entering our zip codes we can get too much information that we could use to ensure the safety of our loved ones. We could never compromise the safety of the persons we loved most especially children. The right information and knowledge is a must for us to be at ease and don’t have to worry too much especially when at work so we can be more productive.

Romantic Mood

I was calling a customer's accounting department just this morning and I was surprised to hear their background song. It was a love song. I guess they haven't overcome the Valentine mood! I hoped that the person that would received my call would not answer the phone hurriedly so I can still listen to the song. Here is the lyrics of the song, too romantic.

Standin' by my window
List'nin' for your call
Seems I really miss you after all

Time won't let me
Decide thoughts to myself
I'd just like to let you know
I wish I'd never let you go

And I'll always love you
Deep inside this heart of mine
I do love you
And I'll always need you
And if you ever change your mind
I'll still, I will love you

Wish you'd never left me
But love's a mystery
You can break a heart so easily

The days and nights we knew
How much I feel for you
Time has come for me to see
How much your love has meant to me

And I'll always love you
And if you ever change your mind
I'll still, I will love you

Time, like a river, keeps on rollin' right on by
Nothin' left for me to do
So I watch the river rise

And I'll always love you
Deep inside this heart of mine
I do love you
And I'll always need you
And if you ever change your mind
I'll still, I will
I'll still, I will, love you

Dream Bedroom

>> Wednesday, February 18, 2009

I always wished for a Modern Bedroom. But since I still live with my parents, I have to settle on the style that my mom dictates. But still the stubborn and rebel me (sorry mom) I still search for modern bedroom furniture just to satisfy my stubbornness. When I saw the modern bed at Max Furniture I told myself that I should have that! I fell in love with the bed that comes with floating side tables. The illusion of floating side tables would match the reading lamp that I got for Christmas from Aunt Ochie. The color would definitely stand out in my bedroom’s blue paint. It would create the illusion of skies. Nice thing about Max furniture is that they offer tax free shopping. And now that they ship to Canada, I can refer the site to Kuya so he could get great priced furniture for his planned house renovation this year. I’m sure he would love the dining table and the armoire for their bedroom. I’m just not sure if his wife would also agree with his choices since his wife also loves modern furniture like me. They also offer interest free financing on their items. And also they got a guaranteed money back offer. It is hassle free and time saving. How I wish mom would permit me to have a bedroom style of my own. But since I am a good and obedient daughter I just have to stick in her style. As they say mother’s knows best so be it.

Now here's the story

I'm sorry if the story came late, I was too busy the past few days and I cannot even put updates in my blog. The financial audit would start this week so I have to finish all my reports and schedules. Here is the story. Forgive the single unattached girl for coming up with this hahahaha!

The flowers were not mine... I just hoped it was mine. Ate Dhel and I came up with the idea of putting it in my table and take pictures of it just to make everyone the office curious. And just what we expected, they asked the next day if the flowers are mine and who gave it to me Hahaha! Ate Dhel and I gave out our best laughs. Curiosity...

The flowers are really belongs to Criz, here's the evidence, how sweet! Thanks to her boyfriend Earl :)

Shoes Galore

>> Monday, February 16, 2009

I believe that women have little Imelda Marcos inside of us. Mrs. Marcos is the Philippine First Lady who became popular because of her love for Shoes. She was believed to have pair of shoes more than we could imagine. I myself love shoes specially the flat shoes. I don’t wear heels because I’m not comfortable wearing those, I’m clumsy most of the time. During my free surfing hours I would always go to a site that sells Women's Shoes. There is this site that offers great deals on women’s and also Men's Shoes. They got a list of famous brands that you can choose from. They guarantee a very reasonable price that every customer could wish for. They also offer a 75 day money back guarantee and free shipping charges for most of the items that they sell. Once you order the package comes with a return instructions in case you are not satisfied and would have to return the goods that you purchased. You would not have to worry about extra bucks to spend on shipping because they have it free for most of the items. The also ensure fast and safe shipments of the purchased goods to your designated location. They promote comfort in the shoes that they are selling. I think it is important if we are buying shoes because as we all know our feet carry our weight so we must give them the comfort that they need. The temptation inside me to buy shoes is growing stronger! Good thing I found a great price for the shoes that I’m eyeing.

Thoughts for Valentines

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

It is Valentines Day! I hope I have a love story to share with you. But sad to say I have been celebrating Valentines Day alone for the past years of my life. I'll just share you some thoughts.

Have you ever been in love? The answers most probably would be yes. Finding love can bring us joy and happiness beyond compare but it may bring misery and unbearable pain for those who lose it. Some are hasty while others are careful in getting into relationships but I think no matter how many precautions we may have it does not guarantee that love would stay once we find it. Most of us may have loved but lost it but remember that I would always be better to have found courage to love even if we lost it in the end rather than never finding love because we were too afraid to face its challenges. Thanks to Joe d’ Mango!

Love is inevitable, no matter how much we avoid it love would always finds it way.

Getting the best car deals

February will soon end. The global financial crisis is still making its existence felt not just through out America but the whole world. At these times probably most of us are thinking that when purchasing something, we should be considering numerous aspects. We should be sure that we are getting what we should get in the amount of money that we shell out.

Buying a car would require a lot from the buyer. First he should provide a budget for the one considered to be one of the major purchases that one would make in his lifetime. He would also allot time to choose a model that he likes and make a study whether it would be suitable for his lifestyle, budget and preference. Right after choosing the right car for you and he would find the dealer that sells that kind of car. That would eat up a lot of time and probably would cause you too much.

My co-worker before has experienced this dilemma. It cost him a lot and if he would to compute all the expenses that caused him in getting a car, it’s like getting him another car. He even takes a leave from work just to find dealers that sells the car that he likes. That cost him his perfect attendance incentive that he was trying to complete for a year. If only he come across autotropolis.com. It is heaven sent for car buyers like him. In just one click of the mouse you would the widest range of car models from different brands, whether it is sedan, van or utility vehicles. They would provide you the nearest dealers that sell the car that you have choose, so you don’t have to shell out extra money just to scout for dealers. Buying cars is a major purchase that one would make in life. There are a lot of things to consider in buying a car. At this time you would ask yourself is it good to consider buying used cars? To be practical, one can consider buying used cars. There are a lot of brands that one can choose from in autotropolis.com. One particular brand to consider is Kia. It was introduced in the United States in 1992 and dealers finally sold Kia cars in 1996. It is committed to provide stylish but inexpensive cars. Also the main focus of it is the safety of the person using the car and its passengers. Used Kia cars are tested to provide the greatest value for your money. It seems like you are having a new car in half the price. They make sure you would get the best Kia rebates that you long for. Buying car is not really a luxury to be considered, it maybe a need. So we just have to make the best deal out of the budget that we are willing to pay.

Finding a new diet pill

>> Friday, February 13, 2009

Being overweight is really difficult. Not only that your physical activities are being given limits but also the self esteem of the person is somehow down. People who are overweight are more often insecure of their bodies. I am one of those. I’ve been struggling to loose weight but with all the things that I tried, I still failed to loose enormous amount of weight. I have tried diets (south beach and the like) and popped several diet pills that promised heaven to overweight like me. I also went to the gym for exercise and trainings but everything that I loose would all come back. I really gave up on finding a solution for my so called-BIG problem. I really thought there would never be a solution. But recently while browsing the net I came across a site that promotes lipofuze. This diet pill has the combination of six active ingredients namely green tea, ginger, cayenne, phenylethylamine, synephrine, evadiamines and cinnamon. Yes cinnamon, the ingredient that is often used in cooking and baking. And also it is the same cinnamon that made up your favorite cinnamon roll. It promised to reduce one pound of your weight per day. Some even reduced their dosage because they said it even took off more than one pound per day. Isn’t it amazing? And they also said that it is not just eliminating the fat but retaining the muscles as you loose weight. It is a great thing for those who are finding a great way of loosing weight. I love it!

I was touched by their gesture to inform me and share to me one of the most important events in their lives. Good luck to you hips, may you have a safe pregnancy. I also hope it would be twins (“,)

Zenni Optical in NY Times

My good friend Leo and I would often go for unplanned trips at night. We would sometimes fetch his sister or our Abby from work with out planning. We enjoy the serious and not so serious talks while driving. The only problem is that he would always miss the exits because he already needs glasses. I asked him if he ever heard of Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! It is the solution to his problem. They got Prescription eyeglasses for only $8! Isn't it a great deal? He would never miss the exits again because he would be seeing straight without breaking bank. I already choose a style that I think would be suitable for him because it got acetate temples (he got a very sensitive skin!) plus, Zenni Optical includes anti-scratch coating for their lenses. Now I'm pretty sure that after having his glasses done we would never be missing the exits again.

Let the pain remain

>> Saturday, February 7, 2009

I'm sky watching last night while sipping a cup of cappuccino when I heard this song.It got me thinking.

Love comes, love goes,
But a sudden feeling never lets me be
Somehow I know
Quite a part of me isn't changed
Since you've been gone

Like a sturdy tree
That's seen a thousand seasons,
I've to shed my leaves in winter
To grow them back in spring
To welcome life again
To welcome you

So goes my life;
Still believe in dreams of having you around
Too bad mem'ries
Feed the mind and not the heart
Where I want you to be

So I ask myself what you have left behind for me
To go on each day to live
As if I have you once again
What else is there that's real
But all the pain that I feel

Chorus:
So let the pain remain forever in my heart
For ev'ry throb it brings
Is one more moment spent with you
I let the pain
Bring on the rain
If that's the only way
If there's no other way
To be with you again

Too bad mem'ries
Feed the mind and not the heart
Where I want you to be

So I ask myself what you have left behind for me
To go on each day to live
As if I have you once again
What else is there that's real
But all the pain that I feel

Chorus:
So let the pain remain forever in my heart
For ev'ry throb it brings
Is one more moment spent with you
I let the pain
Bring on the rain
If that's the only way
If there's no other way
To be with you again

So let the pain remain forever in my heart
For ev'ry throb it brings
Is one more moment spent with you
I let the pain
Bring on the rain
If that's the only way
(If that's the only way)
If there's no other way
To be with you again

Why does sometimes we cling on to somebody that only gives us pain beyond compare? Why not just leave that person and never look back? Why does sometimes we still long for someone who just hurt us over and over again? Naku sumakit lang ang ulo ko! Kakaloka talaga ang love! Nice thing I removed it from my list! hahaha!

Red Hot Luggage

Traveling to our mother company in Japan and our other affiliate companies around the world is such a privilege. I envy my co-workers who traveled to SMIC several times. I remember one of the operators who went to Japan to undergo training of manual winding of solder wire. If I only knew it I applied for an operator rather than my position! Just joking of course! I hope boss would send me to a conference or training probably so I could use the privilege that the company is offering. But I think boss would like to see me every day and he doesn’t want me out of his sight. He would miss peeking at my monitor and looking if I am really working or just posting something at my blog. He thought I don’t know that! I caught him many times seeking at the back door of the president’s office and trying to get a glimpse of my desk from the glass window. Sorry for him, I don’t do that. When it comes to work, I work straight and all pure work! Okay I admit sometimes I take a peek, but it is just a peek (“,) never the less having a new Wheeled Carry On Luggage is something that runs into my mind. I happen to pass by this red luggage that I saw in a site last night while surfing the net. The site got a various styles to choose from, from luggage to Briefcases .But definitely this style caught my attention. Very elegant and sophisticated. I fell in love with the red colored Italian leather plus it comes with a push button locking handle system and durable skate wheels. It is very durable which I think should be the first consideration in buying a luggage so all your personal belongings is safe while traveling even your very sensitive gadgets like cameras and players. I hope boss would consider sending me for training if he would new that I got a new luggage. Hmm if he does that I would not mind buying a matching Carry-On Luggage

I forgot!

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

Due to the pressures of work I forgot that it has been a year since I started blogging. February 04, 2008. I remember that I started to blog because of the encouragement of my good friend Kathy. She has been very supportive that's why I love her so much! (love you mare!). Because of blogging I gained new friends in and out of the country. I learned new things and appreciate more.

Since I started blogging I changed my templates three times before finally settling to my current template. I got my Cbox months later and guess from whom came my first message? Of course Kathy :) Then came my other friends.

I owe my blog a lot. It helped me healed from something. The main reason why I started blogging was trying to heal the broken me. I considered it as my friend who patiently listen to all my sentiments and pains that I cannot burst out to my friends. After a year, I was able to bounce back and picked-up the broken pieces but only to be broken again LOL! And now my blog helped me not only in my emotional stresses, with the help of few opps, I was able to earn extra bucks aside from being an 8-5 slave LOL!

Happy Belated Blogsary to me :)

Solution for Thin Hair

>> Friday, February 6, 2009

I used to complain before about my thick hair. I would wish that it would be thinner. But it was then I realized that it would be better rather than exposing my hair line. One of my officemate has a dilemma about his thinning hair. He is a bachelor and not that old, but it is very evident that he is starting to loss his hair. He would complain everytime he would see his hair in the mirror. He admits that he looks older than his real age. Sometimes he would joke about it and tell us that it’s the pressure of work that causes his hairs to fall. And maybe he thinks that it is the cause why he still single up to this moment. I argue with that, he is too choosy, we have tried many times to pair him with every bachelorette that we knew but we failed to get a match. He would often tell us jokingly that the company should shoulder his hair treatment. He told us that he is really bothered about his thinning hair. Although he already accepts it he hopes that there would be a much faster and not too costly remedy for his problem. So when I came across toppik one time, the first person that came into my mind is him. It would be the best solution for his problem. It’s easy to apply, low maintenance and affordable. It should be affordable because he gives too much emphasis on that. It would surely give his hair an instant thickness and volume. Now he would look younger and who knows with the help of toppik he would find his lifetime partner. Keeping our fingers crossed!

A Friend's Prayer

A very dear friend sent me this prayer. I would like to share this to all my friends as a sign of my gratitude and appreciation. I would like to thank them for coming into my life. Some might have leave and don't remember anymore but memories would always and forever stay in my heart. For those who have stayed, I promise to build more memories with you.

For my blogging friends, some are my friends even before I got into blogging and some became my friends because of blogging although it seems like we were friends for a long time. Especially to my special blogging friends, my blogging mentor Kathy (I love you mare!), George, for our secret and more secrets to come (miss you!), Memae (Bakla, I miss you!), Rose my blogging sister together with his hubby Joops, Claire one of my first friends outside the country (I hope you find JB soon), Mommy Dharlz (I admire you for your advocacy) Eds, Mye and Peach (I love you three!), Leonila, Brigitte and Warrior of Love who follow my blog and the ever amiable Amy who never get tired of visiting me

I share this to them as my simple valentine gift along with my promise of a lifetime friendship.

Dearest Father up above
This prayer is for all the friends that I love
Some are near
And some are far
But Almighty Father
No matter where they are
Watch and keep them safe
Through each day and night
I pray that you bless them
And their loved ones abundantly
For they are special to me
Amen...

Getting me new glasses

They say that our eyes are the window of our soul. Being such, we should take care of our vision. Most of us normally abuse our eyes which resulted in getting prescriptions for eyeglasses in the long run especially when we get older. In these worse times, getting our eyes a new set of glasses could be put in the least priority but there are still ways how we could get a great deal for eyeglasses. The New York Times tells about cheap frames from zenniopticals. They sell frames from as low as $8 with lenses and anti-scratch coating. It’s a great deal considering that getting a nice pair of frames could cost you more than five times the price that they are offering. We will be having our medical exams this week and I know that one of the findings for me would be getting a prescription glasses. I am eyeing this nice pair of glasses from zennioptical. It is made from stainless steel, which would give strength and stability which I need because of clumsiness. I also love its comfortable acetate frames because I prefer it rather than steel temple because steel temple irritates my skin. The stylish Greek design at the end of the frames would give the sophisticated look that I want to achieve. And the price is very reasonable, a pair of nice glasses for only $29.95. I know that I should take good care of my vision. Actually I find it weird that my vision is very much far from each other. With my left eye, my vision is totally blurred but with my right eye, I can still see things clearly even in far distance. I know I really abuse my sight, reading in a very dim light and working too much in front of the computer. I can wait to get my exact grades so I can finally get myself a new pair of glasses.

Candy Bar, so tempting

>> Tuesday, February 3, 2009

I was born with a sweet tooth. Candies, chocolates, cakes and any kind of sweets had been part of my life. I grew up eating a Candy after every meal. I love chocolate Candy Bars, my day would not be complete without it. I was always advised by my doctor to avoid eating chocolates because of my migraine but I am stubborn enough to just don’t mind the pain just to have some chocolates. I find it hard to pick my favorite among the long list of tempting and delicious candy bars. It is like picking the best among the best. How I wish I could have them all. Finally I realize that Snickers bar really knocks me out. I love the nuts and chewy caramel nougat. I remember before, I got a whole box of snickers from the package and hide it in my room. Every day I would finish one bar in an instant. I consider it as my power bar. I would always say that if you want me to be good to you, just supply me with Snickers. If you want me to get mad at you, steal it from my table. Maybe it’s the reason behind all my accumulated calories. But still it did not stop me from dishing out a candy bar. Another funny story about Snickers and me is that one time, I became greedy with it and I hide them at my closet from my brother. The following day, I saw ants crawling around the closet, they had the chocolates and I was so disappointed that I really cried like a baby and my brother just laughed hard and told me that it was karma. Speaking of candy bar, I am currently looking at Milky Way Candy Bar on the desk next to me, I’m craving for it!

Shiroi Koibito Cookies

We have a visitor here in the office. Mr. Takeshi Sakuma from our mother company in Japan is here for an audit preparation for a valued customer audit. He is I think the Quality Control Manager in Japan. And of course he brought us Omiyage (gifts). He brought us Shiroi Koibito Cookies. If I would recollect my Nihonggo lessons, Shiroi Koibito means white sweet heart (Shiroi-white and koibito-sweetheart). It has a white chocolate filling that is sandwich between two langue-de chat biscuits. It’s simple but very yummy and sweet. According to the packaging it is produced in a place called Shiroi Koibito Park in Japan. I did not expect that they would come up with such a sweet delight because based on my experience; my Japanese bosses don’t like sweets. Yummy treat! Thanks Mr. Sakuma!

New chair for Boss

>> Monday, February 2, 2009

Boss is starting to complain about his executive chair. He got me a new mission, find him a new leather executive chair. I was lucky to find sitbetter.com, a new online retailer of all kinds of office chairs that was just launched recently . They have a wide range of leather office chairs that you can choose from. The site is very informative in choosing the right office chair, it aims to let you choose the office chair that would make the employees comfortable so that they would be productive in their work. I guess that's why they call it sitbetter.com because definitely the ergonomically designed chairs makes you sit better. They provide the best deals and prices for the chairs that they offer. You would not worry about shipping of your ordered chairs because they can ship everywhere. One thing nice about it is that the company is family owned so they provide more warm accommodations for your orders and inquiries. I'm sure after we purchase the new leather chair for him from sitbetter.com I would never hear him complain again about his aching back. I wonder if he ever admit that it is more because he is aging :)

Getting worse

Just this morning during our monthly flag ceremony, I learned that one of the company near us has suddenly lay-offed four hundred workers. And now the rumor is that it would be filing closure. Too bad. The global economic crisis is now on its full blast. Companies are one by one closing down and unemployed people are now piling up. I don't want to admit it but I'm beginning to be afraid. I don't know what would happened to us next. Merely thinking that I might loose my job really makes me feel bad. Just this month our sales dropped from 40 tons average per month to 15 tons at the end of January. That's more than 50% decrease in our sales. It is very alarming and the management is taking some cost cutting measures. But too bad that the employees are the one who are making the sacrifice. What I heard is that they are planning to reduce the working days from five days to three days. One of the benefits that the employees are receiving are now being abolished. I'm very much willing to participate in the cost-cutting measures, I just hope that they should not only see the benefits that the employees are receiving, they should also be looking at some unnecessary expenses that are far greater than the employees' benefits that they are abolishing. I hope that they would realize in themselves that they should also practice what they are imposing. Is it necessary to buy molds that cost a thousand dollars each for one of the products if your orders are just few? Why do they have to accept returns from customers that cost more than a thousand dollars for a product that they ordered three months ago just because they don't need it anymore? There is no need for a business wizard to tell them that its unfair and it would just contribute more to the company's losses. Now all that we could hold on is prayers. We do pray for this to end soon.
